Yuck.

For some reason, I've been thinking of this all morning since I turned on my computer. One of the top headlines on Yahoo this morning was a possible meat recall. I am totally baffled by this. Are you serious? Last week they thought the salmonella was from peppers, before that it was from tomatoes. Really? Now -I don't know much about much, but what the hell is going on? I feel the Food & Drug Admin is really dropping the ball. And as a mother of small children I'm getting PISSED OFF having the rethink everything my kids have ate in the past week every time a new recall is posted. Thank heavens we don't eat red meat. I mean we eat it occasionally. I haven't cooked ground red meat in over 7 years. (correction: I haven't cooked ground meat in over 13 years..I was a vegetarian for 6 years before the 7 stated above.)We have bacon every 2-3 months, and that is even turkey bacon. (We do eat hamburgers/hotdogs at a cookout, I mean, who can pass that up.) I even started going to Trader Joe's every two weeks.
The point being, after reading that this morning, I can't help to feel slightly annoyed. Just thought I'd express it a bit.
I'm still having a good weekend though!! :-)
